Gathering Prayer

May your people, O Lord, not lose its Easter joy for you have renewed our youthful vigor through this Paschal Feast. Our joy stems from your love which has restored us to glory as sons and daughters of yours through your Son, seated at your right hand. With this gift of yours we now have the firm hope of risen joy with you in your heavenly home.

Responsorial Psalm

4:2, 4, 7-8, 9

  1.  (7a) Lord, let your face shine on us.

When I call, answer me, O my just God,
    you who relieve me when I am in distress;
    have pity on me, and hear my prayer!

Know that the LORD does wonders for his faithful one;
    the LORD will hear me when I call upon him.

O LORD, let the light of your countenance shine upon us!
    You put gladness into my heart.

R.  Lord, let your face shine on us.
