Gathering Prayer

This is the day, Lord, on which you reveal your only begotten Son to the whole world, thanks to the heavenly guidance that comes from above as a light of a star. May you find it in your loving care that just as you have already given us the faith to know you and your plan for mankind you shall now lead us to the clear vision of your light and splendor on high.

Our response today to the word of God — Lord, every nation on earth will adore you.

Psalm 72:1-2, 7-8, 10-11, 12-13

Justice shall flower in his days,
and profound peace, till the moon be no more.

and from the River to the ends of the earth.

The kings of Tarshish and the Isles shall offer gifts;
the kings of Arabia and Seba shall bring tribute.
All kings shall pay him homage,
