Jesus, Mary, Joseph — Holy Family
Categories: Daily Banner Tweet
CHRISTMAS SCHEDULE CONTINUED
These Masses as for those of the past week are Christmas Masses and opportunities to fulfill your Christmas worship responsibilities (at church and at home). Our large Nativity Scene shall remain in church and hopefully in your home as well. Our Masses will enable us to remain connected with the Christmas Mystery which reaches fulfillment in next Sunday’s Feast of the Epiphany and the adoration of the Magi. Christmas music will be offered, appropriate scripture readings will bring us the word of God for the Feast and homilies to match. The Church family traditions have never limited Christmas to just one day.

Gracious Lord, in the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph you have given us a model of family life as you have created it. Grant that the families in which we live follow the same virtuous way of life and be united in the same bonds of love so that someday reunited in your heavenly home and family we shall share the eternal joy of your presence.
Our response today to the word of God — The Lord remembers his covenant for ever.
Psalm 105:1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 8-9 (7a , 8a)
Give thanks to the LORD, invoke his name;
make known among the nations his deeds.
Sing to him, sing his praise,
proclaim all his wondrous deeds.
Glory in his holy name;
rejoice, O hearts that seek the LORD!
Look to the LORD in his strength;
constantly seek his face.
You descendants of Abraham, his servants,
sons of Jacob, his chosen ones!
He, the LORD, is our God;
throughout the earth his judgments prevail.
He remembers forever his covenant
which he made binding for a thousand generations
which he entered into with Abraham
and by his oath to Isaac.
