Masses — Second Sunday of Lent – 5:00p (Sat), 7:30a, 9:30a, 11:30a
You will be a people sacred to the LORD, your God, as he promised
At the judgment the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation
and condemn it, because at the preaching of Jonah they repented,
and there is something greater than Jonah here.
Yes, if you forgive others their failings, your heavenly Father will forgive you yours;
but if you do not forgive others, your Father will not forgive your failings either.
Matthew 6 (NJB)
Open Your Hearts!
Ash Wednesday Masses: 7:00 am – 12:00 Noon – 7:00 pm
Ashes are distributed as part of Mass
Rend your hearts, not your garments,
and return to the LORD, your God.
I call you friends.
A faithful friend is a sturdy shelter;
he who finds one finds a treasure.
A faithful friend is beyond price,
no sum can balance his worth.
A faithful friend is a life-saving remedy,
such as he who fears God finds;
For he who fears God behaves accordingly,
and his friend will be like himself.
Wait on God, with patience, cling to him, forsake him not;
thus will you be wise in all your ways.
Sunday Masses: 5:00p (Sat); 7:30a, 9:30a, 11:30a
Forgive and you will be forgiven.
Even though I walk in the dark valley
I fear no evil; for you are at my side
With your rod and your staff
that give me courage.
1 Peter 5
Sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth
God said to Noah and to his sons with him:
“See, I am now establishing my covenant with you
and your descendants after you
and with every living creature that was with you.
Noah waited seven days more and again sent the dove out from the ark.
In the evening the dove came back to him,
and there in its bill was a plucked-off olive leaf!
So Noah knew that the waters had lessened on the earth.
He waited still another seven days
and then released the dove once more;
and this time it did not come back.
